National list has become a savior of some good for nothing rather than intellectuals.

i thought there were no more minorities in the country, only patriots and non-patriots ;)

Whatever it is, it is not morally right to appoint defeated candidates as National List members. UNF should know better than that.

Failed politicans who were NOT voted in by the people - now again trying to enter Parliament thru the "back door" -

Ranil is one of the few politicians who is not rascist. He was educated and lived in Colombo where there was no distinction among races. He is Sinhalese - but he mixed with Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Malays & Burghers - and the link language was mostly ENGLISH. The only way for national reconciliation is to have a link between all races - and English could perhaps be the link.

If you look at the list of successful contestants - the UPFA is almost 100% Sinhala. How can we hope for national reconciliation.

    Friday, 16 April 2010 07:08 AM

No national reconcilliation? how are we going to achieve peace???

    Friday, 16 April 2010 07:14 AM

    nice one ....an eye opener
