Lankan refugee commits suicide

A Sri Lankan Tamil refugee allegedly committed suicide by setting himself afire near the camp at Thuraimangalam area here on Friday. Police gave the name of the deceased as K. Govindasamy, aged around 40.
 
According to police, Govindasamy had been staying in the camp with his mother, while his three children were staying at acamp in Tiruvannamalai along with his mother-in-law.
 
The Perambalur police are investigating.(The Hindu)

    The incident shows that Sri Lankan Government is not taking any serious effort to bring the Tamil refugees to their home land Sri Lanka. while they are suffering as refugees in other country, we see their lands being used by the army even they started cultivating it. instead of blaming India for the incident it will be very useful to ask the Sri Lankan government that what concrete actions it is taking for the life of the refugees?

    It is about time Jayalalithaa take immediate measures to improve the living conditions of the refugees in their camps instead of worrying about the Tamils living in Sri Lanka whose living conditions are thousand times better.
