We do not pay for this. UN pays us in dollars. Our heroes will earn more by doing peace work.
Monday, 05 April 2010 08:40 AM
we do not want more people with weapons in SL. It is better to send them for employment abroad as long as we don't face another military uprising from any part of Sri Lanka.
Monday, 05 April 2010 06:46 AM
MR can dream and give any instructions, but the question is whether UN is preapred to accept more troops from SL ??????? Who has the answer???
Monday, 05 April 2010 07:50 AM
A welcome decision. Troops sent on UN peacekeeping operations will benefit from enhanced income (by way of foreign allowances) apart from invaluable exposure and experience.
Monday, 05 April 2010 07:49 AM
Is this possible?? I thought it was UN who will decide on the numbers !!!

Good idea to pack the chaps who may be a threat. On the other hand, will the UN want Sri Lanka Army personal after the experience in Haiti.
