The JVP yesterday claimed that Sri Lanka had two sets of laws - one for the Kelaniya area and the other which is the normal law for the rest of the country.

Addressing a meeting in Chilaw, JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath said a person had ordered not to sell some kinds of vegetables within the Kelaniya area.

“It is a dangerous situation, as this trend could spread to other parts of the country as well signaling a major threat to the smooth flow of daily life,” he said adding that immediate action should be taken to arrest the trend. (Jude Samantha-Chillaw)
