At the meeting, the High Commissioner stated that the assistance of India will be forthcoming for the resettlement of displaced families and also will work for the widening of the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathna stated that India as a neighboring country has always assisted Sri Lanka in a number of spheres and that with terrorism eradicated and the economy being built, a cordial relationship between the countries will be an impetus to strengthen the economy of Sri Lanka.

Well done, India! The even-handed approach adopted by the Indian govt has paid dividend and will contnue to do so. This is in contrast to that of the EU, and the UK, where the LTTE continues to operate freely.

It's not Indian Aid, but Indian Take-Over of Palaly Airport. Indians are not fools and they don't give anyhing for free. MR will soon learn the lesson.

Nice, now India (airport) is taking over the north while China (port) is taking over the South. We are being sandwiched by the 2 Asian super-powers. Meanwhile fellow citizens think that these countries are helping! Where does our "Sovereigity" stand now?

Helping ???? India doesn't help her own citizens, so many beggars on the roads and homeless and we are MADE to believe that they are helping us, what a joke
