No respected person would encourage such violence acts, which are against democracy. Very disgusting and one could wonder where we are heading for! You must win through democratic means and not through violence, bribes and any other fraudulent ways.

Elections in Sri Lanka is a farce. Now it is not a free and fair election. The elections now being conducted cannot be called a franchise. The elections are only an eye wash because the party in power uses the state machinery to the maximum and added to that even the Election Commissioner also aid and abet the party in power. Therefore this is not democracy and it is an utter waste of public money.

and the public voted for them in the last few elections, including the one you speak of: what''s your point?
The sri lankan public has become masters of the "api nemei" excuse. No one votes for these parties, they just walk into parliament on their own

Do we call this democracy? I am sure Police will find this was done by JVP to tarnish the image of UPFA. A member of JVP will claim soon they did it. This is a normal practice.
