    shan Tuesday, 01 March 2011 03:42 AM

very good move for a starter but the when the main roads like Galle Road is only a 2 by 2 size road, on which a 4 by 4 size Leyland bus travels, how do you expect them to stick to their lane!!!!

First get the road widen or get those bigger than road bues out of the roads, then start implementing road rules!!!

    Amz222 Tuesday, 01 March 2011 04:31 AM

Hopefully they'll practice what they preach! Should also implement a law for motobikes flocking to the front the moment the traffic light turns red !

    pranandu Tuesday, 01 March 2011 04:53 AM

good move but appreciate if some kind of STERN ACTION BE TAKEN ON MOTOR CYCLIST. I said this before and say it again they are the root cause for so many vehicle misaps and strangely the traffic police is either blind towards them or is just turning a blind eye (not sure which one).

    Christo Tuesday, 01 March 2011 05:10 AM

The Bus, lorry, trishaw and state owned vehicles are the biggest killers in the country. They have massacred more people than LTTE. Can the Police please catch the people going towards the wrong side on one way streets as a priority please.

Konde bendapu china Monday, 28 February 2011 12:04 PM

Tharaka Chanaka Monday, 28 February 2011 10:45 AM

    malkanthi Monday, 28 February 2011 11:03 AM

Tuk tuk is the main cause for heavy traffic, they drive zig zag. But doubt the part in implementing!

    Athula Monday, 28 February 2011 11:19 AM

    dilshan Monday, 28 February 2011 01:27 PM

we will have start by teaching the basics to the bus drivers & tuk tuks.....
    Course 1 - What is LEFT ?

    Bernard Monday, 28 February 2011 03:04 PM

Excellent police thinking. Please remind ladies the saying"Ladies first" does not apply on the roads therefore they must know the rules to the last fullstop.

    DSR-Neckar Monday, 28 February 2011 03:25 PM

All Sri Lankan drivers MUST be taught how to drive. Then punishment should be increased to the level that they never do the same trafic violation again.
