In an already volatile country there should be stricter gun laws, accountability for police and armed forces weapons and their proper issue restricting removal from their posts and ordnances unless for a specifically ordained official purpose. In Sri Lanka today the so called security and body guard systems are probably culpable for many shooting incidents as many irresponsible individuals have access to weapons which are sometimes issued to some of the biwgwigs being guarded too and often used indiscriminately.
Sri Lanka seems to be riddles with dangerous, trigger happy gun toting punks who need to be locked up!

Army police immunity: serious cases of threat, intimidation, harassment goes unreported, they won't dare to tot fire arms if such threats are investigated and nipped in the bud, they gain always with timids, only a few dare them, yet they do with impugnity.

I find this incident quite hilarious, even employees and school children are checked now before they go their places of work or school for contraband items.
How come the police doesn't check people when they enter the station for arms and explosives ??????
