The Galle Face beach front has been sold to a luxury hotel along with the statue of former Prime minister of Sri Lanka and founder of the SLFP, S.W.R.D Bandaranaike, Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said at a rally in Divulapitiya.

He added that although he was falsely blamed for selling the Sigiriya rock earlier, now it fell upon the UNP to protect the ideals and the statue of the founder of the SLFP in the upcoming Local Government elections. (Pushpakumara Malawarachchi)
