To avoid any Police Tear Gassing and Baton Charging these students should have sought the support of Bodhu Bala Sena or their blessings at least.

Are you're proud of that? You get everything free from the Govt and yet you have the audacity to protest?? Have you any idea how much money is involved for a uni degree if you had to pay?? Do you even appreciate it? Its idiots with your mentality that spoil the chances of those who want to study.

Trouble-makers should be identified and expelled if they cannot appreciate the free education they are enjoying. Like porky pig there are many more misguided youth who think what they're doing is 'fun' and a 'great experience' not realizing they are denying others the chance to get on with their studies.

We still have doubt whether the universities control by student or police rather than SB

Recent past the student union had been controlling the University. Even the security were under the influence of them. The majority of students who were willing to finish their studies and leave the University as soon as possible were under the influence of this group of politically motivated students. They don't have right to obstruct the General public. When we were in university we participated lot of protests, but did not inconvenience with the general public.

If any student studying on a MahaPola Scholarship (on tax payers cost) involves in politics/thuggery, his or her scholarship must be terminated immediately.

Getting tear gased is nothing new and part of University life. I was at Moratuwa and we got tear based. That was in the 70s and it was a great experience.
