"After his aeronautical career, Armstrong was approached by political groups, but unlike former astronauts John Glenn and Harrison Schmitt who became U.S. senators, he declined all offers" That's professionalism.....

Not just words but great actions! It was a time where space travel let alone a "moon landing" was very risky and still a mysterious venture. He had the courage to undertake a mission that could be a one way journey.

Neil Armstrong - A household name throughout the world achieved something that people couldnt imagine at that time. Yet lived a very humble low profile life.
Neil Amstrong is a legend.

Many of us remember Neil Armstrong, the reluctant hero, the quiet man whose footsteps still rest upon the moon and in history. co-pilot Buzz Aldrin made the first piloted landing upon the moon.
"Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed," Armstrong informed NASA. 2 1/2 hours later the now famous words, "That's one small step for (a) man. One giant leap for mankind," as he stepped upon the moon for the first time.

I am not sure what is the big deal, He could have easily used Mihin Lanka to got to moon from Sri Lanka.

If Wimal Weerawansa was asked for comments on the death of Neil Armstrong, I guess that he would say Americans have tried to conspire against the moon by sending Neil Armstrong to the moon asa spy.

Only after he landed on the moon our leaders promised to the masses to bring rice from there if they are elected and they won the election.

Are you sure that this man was the first to walk on the moon ? There is acontroversy whether the Americans actually did it or was it a 'drama' acted in a studio.
