Fire in Pettah

A fire has broken out in several shops near the Fort Railway station, police said. Fire brigade has brought the situation under control and has almost extinguished the fire. There are no casualties reported.

Traffic congestion was reported from Pettah due to a fire that erupted in several shops near the Fort Railway Station.

Meanwhile, heavy traffic was also reported in and around the Town Hall area due to a protest staged by nurses.
