The double standards of some European and Western countries on terrorism should be revealed to the world, Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratne said today.

He said in a statement that no democratic nation in the world should stay in silence with regard to the incident in London, where some LTTE sympathizers held demonstration against the visiting President Mahinda Rajapaksa last week.

Issuing a statement the Prime Minister said that as a nation, Sri Lanka faced several such situations in the past as well. “We should face this strongly, to defeat those powers,” the Premier said.

    eddy Sunday, 05 December 2010 11:47 AM

The West is learning. They use terrorism for their benefits.Allow them to enter as illegals and find out how to screw other countries, and how to benefit politically. The ungratefuls will eventually be purged out, burn the bridges. The local Tamils will take a very strong stance because they see the truth. The manipulation is over. You can bluff all the people some times, some people all the time, and not all the people all the time.

    kap Sunday, 05 December 2010 11:53 AM

Dear Mr Prime Minister, I thought that the annual UN meeting is all about discussing these issues. What would all these leaders speak during the time they spend in NYC , after spending so much of public money? Mr President spoke alot about development are terrorism and how to fight it globally.
