you dont release a person hoping that he will do good. you release a person only if he is NOT guilty. so are you saying that he was released despite being guilty?
Ruwan Tuesday, 16 October 2012 02:52 AM
Does it means he has given an order against justice and law?
in that case it is critical.can some1 explain me.
Dany Tuesday, 16 October 2012 02:52 AM
That means you went over the system and gave a verdict? How can you expect someone who swindles people’s money to do the right thing to the very same people? You call yourself CJ????
Ravi Tuesday, 16 October 2012 03:00 AM

Ranil refused to entertained this guy.So he went against UNP. MR refused to entertained him.So he went after him.He just wanted some publicity, that is all. This guy brought judiciary in to crisis. What he has done in the judiciary is very shameful.Every one knows in the judiciary, is is a well known factor that he asked for sexual favors for favors. There are more than that petty issue. As awhole this guy is a nut and white color criminal.

Dr. Roshan Greenwic Tuesday, 16 October 2012 05:56 AM

That explains the present Govt question the former CJ’s integrity during his tenor in office. The Govt has firsthand experience!!!

Does this imply that propoer justice was not done and the guilty party was exonerated?? If that is the case then the judicuary was not impartial and the wrong doers were allowed to go scot free. We find it impossible to digest this kind of activity that is deplorable.

Duminda De Silva Tuesday, 16 October 2012 07:02 AM
What a shame. I am amazed at how did this guy ended up been the Chief Justice. If his claim is accurate it means he has committed a criminal act during his tenure as CJ. He has failed to investigate the accusations leveled against MR mainly to extract some favors later on.

sour grapes!
Sri Lankan Tuesday, 16 October 2012 12:51 PM
Very true, however people may forgive you for that, as you acted upon the circumstances of that Era (CBK). However in my personal view in years to come Sri Lankans may not forget the case where you “precedent” a case for opposition members to cross over in the parliament, which will have/has lot of consequences as for this judgment. I.E. 18th Amendment (No term limits for the executive), other urgent bills through the parliament makes a mockery of the peoples choice and democracy.

Their should be people to take action against these type of people. It also discredits the current President.
