Daughter of Rohana Wijeweera re-remanded

The eldest daughter of Rohana Wijeweera , the slain leader of the JVP, a suspect in the case of alleged assault on her mother and the other sisters and causing damages to property and threatening them with death was re-remanded today until the June 10 by the Wattala magistrate Ms Lanka Jayaratne.

The magistrate also directed the prison authorities to produce the suspect Dasuni Easha Wijeweera (31) before the National Medical investigation unit and obtain a full report on her mental health and produce such report in courts.

The magistrate made this order today when the courts took up a preliminary medical report submitted to courts.

The suspect had been taken into custody by the Mahabage police on May 18, on a complaint made by Srimathie Chithrangani , wife of late Rohana Wijeweera and her youngest son Uvindu Vidura Wijeweera residents at 10, Navy Quarters, Welisara Naval camp. (Dasun Rajapksa)
