A traffic situation was reported from Union Place and Fort areas, as a section of Galle road (From Galle Face to the Old Parliament) has been closed to the public due to the carpeting of the roads.

while it is good to see the main artery in the country is being resurfaced, one must realize that Galle Road is a relatively well maintained road compared to so many other roads that are in dire straits that need urgent repairs.
Guess unless night races are held in those roads they won't receive any repairs.
