Bus conductors arrested for not issuing tickets

The flying squad of the SLTB have arrested 915 bus conductors who have not issued tickets to the commuters who have tendered the money for tickets.

SLTB was taking action to interdict the conductors who were arrested during the checking made by the flying squad officers  during the past few days. (Mahinda Nissanka)

    that's why running loss but still demanding salary increase most of the bus conductor for short distance did not issue ticket and balance money......i

    The 'flying squad' should also arrest the bus drivers who are FLYING on the roads, causing many commuters to be inconvenienced, not to mention the road hazards and life risks they create.

    What about private buses? Why not have notice in the bus with a contact or SMS number for the public to inform the authority to take swift action.
