Basil Rajapaksa appointed SLFP national organizer

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa has been appointed as the National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) at the central committee meeting, the government information department announced today.

The unanimous decision was taken at the central committee meeting held under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Wednesday night. The post of National Organizer fell vacant following the death of former Minister Anuruddha Ratwatte.
