The Army Major who was arrested last Saturday in Anuradhapura while allegedly transporting 15 kilos of cannabis was suspended from service by the Army Commander, the army spokesman said.

How sad to see an army once hailed as saviours going down to such low levels as transport of hashish, shooting innocent people and even animals too. Politics has really crept into the armed forces and police thus corrupting everyone.

Major is the base of senior officer in the SLA.There is no need for a senior officer to transport Hashis. This could very well be a set up.
