Youth slits man’s throat over love affair dispute

A 19-year old youth was arrested after he has slit the throat of another youth following a dispute over a love affair in Kadawatha.

Police said investigations are underway on a tip off received by the Kadawatha Police that the suspect had slit the throat of the victim with a piece of glass at a rented house in Andrews Lane in Kadawatha.

The victim had died on admission to the Ragama Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as a 20 year old resident of Gonahena, Kadawatha.

It has been revealed that the murder took place after a dispute over a love affair escalated.
