Discipline the drivers, over taking from the left, Disregarding traffic rules are the main cause of accidents coupled with overspeeding.

The law on flyovers is that overtaking is prohibited. But in general in Sri Lanka the main cause for anyone attempting to overtake from left is because the first law of highway code (drive on left when driving slow to let someone overtake from right) is not imposed by police and they do not look at it as punishable offence.

    Absolutely correct.

The police should not allow three wheelers to use the flyover because they continuously overtake and break the law. Though buses are not allowed, very often Police and Navy heavy vehicles blatantly use the flyover.

There is no rule as such that busses are not allowed on those flyovers. Busses dont go on it as they dont mind getting stuck at traffic lights on the road below and gain time to have more passengers waiting at the bus stops ahead. That is how the bus service works in Sri Lanka.

Three wheelers, motorcycles and heavy vehicles were not permitted when this flyover was opened . Police should strictly monitor the movements.

Policing is a joke. Just watch what happens on Marin Drive . Someone who just crosses the line is pulled over and booked . Yet so many virtually driving on the wrong side on this same road (almost into on-coming traffic) and are not stopped. The police kniw it and do nothing about it keeping away at peak hours and at key points. They are just looking for soft targets. When most law breakers people are allowed to drive undetected what message does it send to the few who are nabbed? Here is a challenge to the police - put your people all along the way from Colpetty to Dehiwela 24 x7 for one week and book every offender and watch the difference. It may clog up the road for the week but the result will last much longer. Book those double parking too on the road.

Three wheels should be banned from at least colombo to start with. They are the main culprit law breakers and causing directly or indirectly accidents and traffics.

Three-wheelers, motorcycles, buses and heavy vehicles defy all road rulers, when a vehicle driven at the permitted M P.H, the vehicle behind, start harassing the vehicle following the road rules, a ThThree-wheeler scrapped my vehicle and did not stop, the Wheeler crept on to a bylane, I was helpless.

Watched matrix reload on dehiwela dingy pass last night (who the hell calls that a flyover). It's the state of affair of this nation. Three-wheeler drivers are like god sent, they have no clue about what is a road rule, police guys stay under the dingy pass and pick their smart phones... So ya u are bound to see a movie on and off...

Three wheelers are also politicised so no matter how they drive , no one bothers to correct them. So they drive all over the roads, no traffic laws apply to them. No traffic laws apply to the bikers and lorry busses too. The roads are like jungles.
