The total confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sri Lanka surpassed 9,000 mark with 335 more positive cases reported yesterday.
Out of the total cases, a total of 6,115 cases were reported from the Peliyagoda-Minuwangoda cluster.
Moreover, the total Covid-19 cases of the Peliyagoda-Minuwangoda cluster exceeded the 5,000 mark on Tuesday.
A total of 1,333 cases have been reported over this week.
Accordingly, the total Covid-19 cases stand at 9,205 while 5,011 are still in medical care. The total recoveries of Covid-19 surged to 4,075 with 32 recoveries reported yesterday.
It is also noteworthy that three Covid-19 deaths were reported within this week. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Yesterday Italy conducted around 200,000 tests. To match this on a proportionate basis Sri Lanka would need to do around 65,000 tests a day. How many did we do?
