Three-member committee appointed to resolve issues: Fisheries Minister

Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda has appointed a three member committee to make recommendations to resolve the problem of Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters, a statement said.

According to the statement, Sri Lankan fishing community has been inconvenienced by such acts. Recently, four Indian fishermen died after their vessel collided with a Sri Lankan naval vessel.

Well , how long the problem of poaching is going on? How many governments change hands? How many Ministers, deputy ministers, secretaries of this department got paid out of public funds to solve this on going problem? And top of that another committee? Don't you think it is another way of wasting valuable funds?
