The third coal power plant in Norochcholai has been fixed and connected back to the national grid, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

He said the power plant unit one and three are operating at full capacity. The unit one of the power plant was back to operation after it was shut down for maintenance, he said.

Great job by Media, which kept chasing progress and updating the news to the general public. Even the ministry was on pins, due to this public exposure. Will this mean there will be no power cut for some time?

We believe, after the completion of the project, the general public will face more hours of extended power shedding about 10 hours.

Should we count the seconds, minutes, hours or days before the next breakdown???

I hearing these break down for last 20 years. Either this maintained by petta natami or Engeerners.

Good - does that mean we might see an end to the power cuts?
