In Sri Lanka too it was an Indian company that brought the mobile call rates down. We need the same now for fixed line broadband.

Nothing comes out of SLT. Same amount of data.To get SLT ADSL need Land Line.Had paid Rs 18,000 to get the line.Rs 7,000/- for the Router..( Monthly Phone Rental Rs 250/-, SLT ADSL Rental Rs 1,490/- Tax Rs 594/-) Total Rs 2,329/- per month.30GB data on day time

Sri Lanka is one of the most expensive countries for Internet users. The Internet providers are making an impertinently and exploiting high profit. In Germany I pay 17 Euro (3000 Rs) per month inclusive 19% VAT for unlimited surfing and unlimited time to make calls to the landline.

I just checked my internet capacity and nothing has changed. I have 9GB peak and 9GB off peak.When are we going to get the additional 10%?

This is the only country in the world that has fixed data amounts. Essentially, if the government had been investing properly in the digital infrastructure of the country, there would not be rationing of data like this.

This is not new Ravi increased rates not only of data but all of telecommunication services. Now reducing just of data. Only difference is rates of other tele.services are high. A joke.
