The Thalangama Police have found 25 live ammunition used for T-56 firearms in a drawer of a cupboard at the Sri Lanka Transport Board's Thalangama Depot in Battaramulla this morning.
An officer had seen that several bullets had fallen on the ground near the cupboard and had alerted the Depot Superintendent.
They later informed the police about the incident.
Police said that no suspect has been arrested so far and the Thalangama Police are conducting further investigations to determine as to what purpose those ammunition were brought to the depot premises.
