Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has sought a meeting with the International Cricket Council (ICC), to address reports that it appointed a three-member committee to probe allegations of political interference in the operation of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
In a letter addressed to ICC Chairman Grey Barclay, Ranasinghe said that while he believed in the autonomy in the administration in all sports bodies, he also expected them, as Sports Minister, to operate with transparency and in keeping with the law of the land.
In this light, the Minister had requested a meeting with the ICC after it emerged that a three-member committee headed by Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Jay Shah and including ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan, had been appointed to look into allegations of interference by the Minister in the running of SLC.

ICC can send it's anti-corruption unit to assess the level of corruption in SLC.
SLC is corrupt they will try complaints to keep doing their wrongdoings Thursday, 30 March 2023 08:33 PM
SLC is trying to do corruption and does not want government to clean it up. Too much losses and waste at SLC and that cannot be allowed. The revenue is from TV rights, and then the money is used lavishly for SLC V8 vehicle and needless trips. Maybe it needs special taxation, so all those pointless luxury allowances to elected officials can be taxed at 500%.
