A bus transporting garment workers had been hijacked along with the driver, by a group of persons in a van at Aluth Oya in Horowpothana yesterday.
However, the Gal Oya Police arrested six suspects over the incident and also found the hijacked bus along with the driver.
The arrested suspects, age between 37 and 50 were identified as residents of Bingiriya and Weerambugedara areas.
They were handed over to the Horowpothana Police.
The suspects will be produced before the Kebithigollewa Magistrate's Court today.
