The Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today released on bail former F&G Property Developers Director Sicille Kotelawala on Rs. 100,000 cash, with four sureties of Rs. 10 million each.
Mrs. Kotalawala, who was taken into custody by the CID on her return to the country, was remanded till yesterday on charges of misappropriating the deposits of the F& G.
However, she had to be in remand custody over the Golden Key Company charges.
When the case was called before the Court, the CID informed the Magistrate that the investigations on the suspect were concluded and they did not object bail.
However, her passport was impounded.
Senior Counsel Saliya Pieris with Niroshan Nanayakkara and Anjana Ratnasiri appeared for Mrs. Kotalawala during the inquiry.
The Court postponed the case to May 11.
Sicille Kotelawala was an accused in the case of misappropriation the deposits belonging to the F&G Property Developers Company. (T. Farook Thajudeen)
