Deepest sympathies to his family and his wider family. His contribution to music in Sri Lanka unparalleled. Specially as a academic to young musicians. May he attain nibbana.

He is an old, experienced and skilled singer in Sri Lanka and every song he sang sank into the hearts of his fans. A singer with such a voice would be impossible to fill.
