It is power at any cost. There is no point calling for a system change as the mindset of our politicians have not changed at all. There is a serious economic crisis in the country. People don't have food, medicine...But our politicians want an election that will not bring anything but an additional burden of maintaining 8000 more LG reps. All this just for power...more power. You must be insane to vote for such people. They are no better than Mahinda

@ Man - In 1974 Gerald Ford became the President of US. Richard Nixon appointed him as VP. In 1993. Just one man. Rest is history. Present PM of UK was elected by MPs.
