SC orders to produce Wasantha Mudalige before a Magistrate

The Supreme Court today issued an interim order directing the the authorities to produce Convener of Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF)  Wasantha Mudalige before a Magistrate.

Supreme Court two-judge-bench bench comprising Justices Vijith Malalgoda and S. Thurairaja further decided to grant leave to proceed with the Fundamental Rights petition for violating fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 12(1), 13(1) and 13(2) of the constitution.

Mudalige is currently detained under Prevention of Terrorism Act.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

    Very good news , this government should be prosecuted for detaining this university student under law of Terrorism. As soon as this leader of 134 is ousted from power which he is not entitled to, he should be charged for this heinous crime.
