Royal take four wickets, S. Thomas still 231 runs behind

Royal College took a firm grip on the 144th Batlle of the Blues against S. Thomas' College, picking up four Thomian wickets in the first session of the second day at the SSC grounds. 

S. Thomas reached lunch on 95 for 4, still 231 runs in the red, with Charuka Peiris on 4 not out and Senadhi Bulankulame playing a dogged innings of 37 off 93 deliveries. 

The four wickets were shared evenly between Sandesh Ramanayake, Ranuka Malaviarachchi, Bulan Weeatunga and Ramiru Perera.  

Royal College opted to declare their first innings at the start of the day on their overnight score of 326 for 8.
