All prisoners who are unable to pay their fines would be released under a special presidential pardon to reduce the congestion in prisons, the Prisons Department said.
Accordingly, the prisoners will be released today, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.

It is good thing to do.. Let all go home . What is the point in keeping them in jail and who feed them. Only keep criminals not people who can not pay fines.
