Prez, PM meet Indian High Comm. over container terminal issue

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday met with Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay and conveyed the government’s interest in developing the West Container Terminal of Colombo Port together with India and Japan, informed sources said.

The message is to be communicated to New Delhi for consideration, they added. (Kelum Bandara)

We do not have any other options now . We are sandwiched in geopolitics of the region. Since 2010 this country did not develop any good foreign policy rather it has been fooled by many regional power . We have fooled by Chinese loans and now we are trapped in a huge debt . May God save this beautiful country. Only we can expect a divine intervention. Nothing else . Politicians have failed to deliver since 1948.
