President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is on an official visit in Japan, held a discussion with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
The discussion focused on the strengthening of bi-lateral ties and the development of stronger cultural ties.
Meanwhile, the President has also met with Japan's Minister of Digital Transformation, Taro Kono where they discussed the Sri Lankan Government's digitisation efforts.
The talks also focused on strengthening co-operation between the two countries in the digital transformation programmes.
