The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) commenced an investigation with the assistance of electrical engineers in connection with the power failure to determine whether it was an act of sabotage.
Police said the Chief Engineer of the Business and Operations Strategy Division of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had lodged a complaint with the Slave Island Police Station today regarding the public distress caused by the power outage in the Welivita area last night.
He requested the police to investigate to ascertain whether the power failure was due to sabotage.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

The Department of Police is just a security firm in Sri Lanka . They not the custodians of the Law of the Land any more. They are controlled by the Thugs in the Parliament. Shame on you President.
