Hope the Supreme Court gives a date in August to consider.

This is a human rights violation of pastor Jerome Fernando. In a democracy, people should have the right to criticize religion. Unfortunately,Sri Lanka is a dictatorship and a false democracy where extremist monks have full impunity.

Pastor Jerome Fernando, Why can't your "saviour" save you?

The court should order in a manner that Jerome comes back to the country before a particular date and then remain in the country by surrendering his passport until the investigations are completed. If he arrives before the court-appointed date then he need not be arrested until a case or cases are filed against him in a court of law. If he fails to come before this date then a red warrant must be issued through Interpol.

ලෝකෙන් උතුම් රට. Analysis not acceptable when you see luxurious lifestyles, skyscrapers, iot, sealed and opensodas, prophets, enlightened and most active polity systems with immeasurable rapport between ruling lot and opposition for their own unity to continue power, that cannot be found anywhere in the world.

Joseph - You say not able to criticise a religion a human rights violation. In the same breath you blame extremist monks, apparently for attacking your faith too, You can't have it both ways mate. If you step in the ring you should be prepared to take some blows as well. That said, criticising another religion is out of order, mean, dishonourable and rather low. What is more, it will never reap benefits to your own faith or yourself. Rather, it lowers the dignity of your own faith and therefore is an insult to the author of your own faith.

Majority of Sri lankans are true Buddhists who live according the preaching of Lord Buddha. They do not rejoice by punishing or hurting even their worst enemy. Remember this preacher is not a murderer, not a rapist or not a crimal who had robbed our wealth. Life is very short. Do good always. Have good thoughts. Love one another

For whose benefit are these discussions or debates? Buddhism or Christianity will not lose its dignity or appeal nor will they gain any new converts. This is solely for the divide and rule politicians in Lanka? Who gained from Wandha Kottu and Wandha Jungy? It is the selfish politicians who are taking all of us for a ride!!

Can anyone out there explain this: Two people are before the courts, or will be before the courts in the country with regards to statements about religion. One MP was caught smuggling gold etc into the country. A CRIMINAL OFFENCE? YES My question- who has committed the greater crime??. The MP walks free and of the other two, one is in remand and the other is seeking a SC order to prevent arrest.
