One man injured in a shooting incident which took place following a heated argument between two men at a house at Maligakanda Road in Maradana last night, police said.
They said a resident and an outsider had argued over a financial dispute which had led to the shooting at around 7.30 last night.
The outsider had opened fire to the floor of the house and the resident had been injured after he was hit with a ricochetted bullet.
The injured was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital with minor injuries and was later discharged.
He was identified as 77-year-old Sextas Gomas Abesinghe Weerakoon.
The suspect who shot at the floor had fled the scene. The Maradana Police are conducting investigations to arrest the suspect.
