Tourist arrivals to the country for the whole month of October crossed the 40,000 mark.
After the month of September having welcomed the lowest number of international travelers for the year so far, the 1 to 31 October period saw 42,062 tourists enter the country, provisional data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) showed.
With October arrivals, Sri Lanka has opened its doors to a total of 568,258 tourists since January.
