All events, such as weddings and other ceremonies where people gather in large numbers, will not be allowed for two weeks beginning from today, the Health Ministry said.
While revising the earlier rule further, the permitted functions fall under alert level III and therefore, the Health Ministry had taken this decision considering the alarming spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
Nevertheless, it has already been announced that no wedding functions will be permitted until May 20, the Ministry added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
