There is no delay in postal services despite several post office and sub-post office workers tested Covid positive, Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne said.
He told the Daily Mirror that four Post offices and 28 sub-post offices have been closed after detecting COVID-19 cases.
"The post offices at Slave Island, Keselwatta, Homagama and the post office at the Inland Revenue Department Colombo 2 reported to have been closed after having found workers infected with COVID.
Meanwhile, positive cases are recorded from 28 sub-post offices islandwide," he said.
However, there is no delay in postal services, but there could be delays in the above post offices that have been closed.
There is no postal service in the areas where the isolation is imposed, PMG Ariyaratne added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
