Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekera has instructed IGP Chandana Wickramaratne to immediately investigate the complaint lodged with the CID against State Minister Lohan Ratwatte.
The Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today urging the immediate arrest of State Minister Lohan Ratwatte over allegedly threatening the Tamil prisoners at the Anuradhapura Prison on Sunday.(DSB)

Police Minister, You took so long to instruct IGP to investigate, as you wanted time to plan with the main offender and his group the defence. IGP should have commenced investigations without your directions. In Sri Lanka we have a funny policing system

If the offenders are grilled by Police the way they grill offenders in other crime, a brief for a fool proof prosecution can be made. I am sure the CCTV evidence is gone by now. I hope AG will leave some loop holes if they are to be charged in court.

Lohan has been roaming the streets in the night all his life. Probing into this will solve nothing.
