The investigation revealed that the suspect had telephoned Mrs. Ayoma Rajapaksa's mobile phone 19 times on September 22nd and 8 times on September 23rd.

In a country where 8 bombs blasted on a single day in churches and hotels every precaution must be taken and every threat must be seriously investigated.

In Sri Lanka this man is allowed free on bail but contrast with bizarre system in Britain. A pensioner father who has fallen out with his family and had court restraining orders not to contact his family members. During this current cost of living crisis he felt sorry for his own daughter and sent her a message offering her £5000. Daughter informed the police and the poor father was arrested and later convicted in a magistrate court. This is the heartless and disturbed Britain. Only if you live in Britain you would know how insane these people are. But back home in Sri Lanka they are still worshiping the British.

Only 1 million rupees? Gota would have fished it out of his shirt pocket. Poor Ayoma must be terribly insulted.

She offered to pay him 10 million rupees if he could organise some good-looking blokes to gather around her house.

What bullshit. She could have blocked the number if it was a nuisance. Anyway, 1m ransom is far too small compensation for the damage done by husband to this country.

Ransom should not be tolerated but how did the ex First Lady and husband squander when they were on the run to the many luxurious hotels and air travel by ransoming the public purse

These comments and the last sentence of news leads to one conclusion. Is Ayoma trying to venture into politics on sympathy vote. Nobody knows and majority of us never seen her at all. Why this sudden appearance to curry sympathy? Something smelling like dead rodent!
