Mahendran got Rs. 3.2 mn from PTL

Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran had received Rs. 3.2 million in three separate cheques from the Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL), the Attorney General’s Department today informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.

Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Yasantha Kodagoda told court that Mr Mahendran might have used the three cheques to settle off the bill of his unlimited credit card. (Yoshitha Perera)
