Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd Theshara Jayasinghe said today that the company has not taken any decision as yet to increase the prices of litro gas.
Responding to several reports that some dealers in many parts of the country have haphazardly increased the prices of litro gas cylinders from last night, the Chairman however told the Daily Mirror that prices were not increased.
It is reported that some dealers are selling a 12.5kg gas cylinder at Rs. 4,200 after litro's competitor laugfs have increased their prices.
Mr. Jayasinghe said that anyone charging more is considered illegal.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

Sure the Litro Gas Price would go higher than Rs. 4,200/=. When the demand is high the price does not matter.

Ayio Chairman Sir, increase the price. Thats common sense. Dont play games, loose money for Sri Lanka Insurance, your owning company

No increase yet but soon will be increased. Still no gas available.
Arnold Monday, 21 March 2022 11:09 AM
In other words, will be increased tonight.

Obvious! Product is not available in the market for consumers. What is the point in increasing price?
Sam Monday, 21 March 2022 11:33 AM
This is exactly what has caused the whole problem. State own enterprises selling thangs at less than cost price and topping up the losses from tax payers money. Will you never learn!!

Make price to reflect cost. else all the people has to pay LITRO losses one day

At any price make gas available as usual. We eat raw vegetables and fruits. Government is responsible for this predicament.
