The prices of 12.5kg domestic LITRO gas cylinders will be reduced by Rs.452 from midnight today, LITRO Lanka Chairman and CEO Muditha Peiris said.
Accordingly, the new retail price of the 12.5kg gas cylinder will be Rs.3,186.
The 5 kg gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs.181 and the new retal price will be Rs.1,281.
The 2.3 kg cylinder will be reduced by Rs.83 and the new retail price will be Rs.598.
All price reductions will affect from tonight, he said.
The price revision took place following collective efforts taken by the Finance Ministry, Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), the Presidential Secretariat and LITRO Lanka Ltd., following new added features to the existing gas price formula. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
