’Kudu Mangalika’ arrested with heroin worth Rs. 1Mn in Kelaniya

A drug trafficker Kalupahanage Mangalika alias 'Kudu Mangalika' had been arrested by the Western Province Anti-Corruption Unit this afternoon along with about 800 small packets of heroin prepared for peddling.

Police said the packs contained about 100 grams of heroin each with the street value of around Rs. 1 million.

The suspect, a resident of Kelaniya had also Rs.50,800 in her possession at the time of the arrest.

She is to be produced before the Hulftsdorp Magistrate tomorrow.
