It has been decided to suspend the issuing of vehicle revenue licenses in the Western Province for a period of two weeks from today (13) till October 26.
The decision was taken to the update the computer system that processes the date to issues vehicle revenue licenses, Western Province Chief Secretary Jayanthi Wijetunga said.
Earlier, she said that a grace period has been granted to renew expired vehicle revenue licence in the Western Province due to the breakdown of the computer system.
Accordingly, the licenses for vehicles which are set to expire from the 12 to 31 of this month will be valid until November 30 without any surcharge.(DSB)
