The visitors remained unbeaten in their nine matches against the hosts as they won the Test and one-day series 3-0 and 5-0 respectively.

Chasing 171 for victory, India rode on a 119-run second-wicket stand between Kohli (82) and Manish Pandey (51 not out) to achieve their target with four balls to spare. (AFP)

The way our boys started their innings we thought a MOU had been signed by Ranil and Modi to give us just one match!!!!!!!!!

If the corrupt Cricket Board and the shameless Sports Minster have one iota of self respect and responsibility, they must resign enmasse at least now.

On T-20, scoring 170 on a pitch like this is great for SL, but their fielding and bowling was sloppy.

As sporty SriLankans we should appreciate the way the Indian team played in all formats of cricket and we will have to learn a good lesson from them.

Rather worried over the disappointing performance of our boys, changing captains often is not a good sign....

Now is the time for Sumathipala to step down, other-wise we will go to the bottom.

    malij Thursday, 07 September 2017 04:59 PM

    We are ....in the...bottom.

    S. Siriwardene Thursday, 07 September 2017 09:55 AM

Our boys tried the best, but Indians played the best.

Sports Minster, Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara, This is my personal opinion, that time has reached for you to do something seriously in order to bring the team to a level to compete the international teams or you have to resign and make the way for another person who is competent to take over the job. People do not want to blame the officers down the line, because you are totally responsible. Please leave a party politics a side and concentrate on this disaster. Other wise spectators might throw empty bottles at you.

once again poor captaincy. we eased the pressure on indian batsmen by allowing loose bowlers like thisara and angelo to bowl at crucial times. we could have tightened things by continuing with Isuru Udana and malinga at the early stages

    Hemaka Thursday, 07 September 2017 05:03 PM

SLC should look at team selection more seriously and select true all-rounders. With due respect they should understand some players like Thisara are no longer capable to play the part of bowling all-rounder.Yes the boys made a positive effect but still a long journey lies ahead .
